Norma Macias: Identity Critique

For my identity project I was thinking of creating a small book with separate body parts each representing one of my family members. My whole concept revolves around the idea that my family helps build my identity. The last page will have a full body picture of me with with the body parts together.

So this is a new idea: I have the habit of collecting and holding onto random objects that at one point had some sort of significant meaning to me, even though they may be worthless today. I pick and chose the things I want to keep, and I believe these objects which I hold onto reflect my identity (the things I do/what is important to me). I want to create a system to organize and categorize these objects that I have which would include assigning them a number, description, and including a scan of the physical object. Not sure about the final format; either a card set or possibly a book.

With this project I plan to in corrupt my personal experiences of where I lived and also my family back ground. I also love to draw and I'm going to in corrupt that into my images. Once I find a scaner to upload my drawings you'll see what im trying to do.
