Deconstruction

Deconstruction, a term created and developed by French philosopher Jacques Derrida, is a method used to break down every aspect of to uncover the meaning or purpose behind it. To achieve this one must question each of these elements and understand it's relation to the others. Upon doing this a person can uncover difference between how something is shown and the actual reality it represents.

Derrida explain that though speech and writing are closely related but there still is a gap in reality between the two since writing is only a reflection of speech. With this in mind I feel that within a standard text fully demonstrate what something is trying to say without some questioning to bring out it's true reality.

The example I found shows two images by Cornell Windlin. The first shows a regular ad how it stands, while the second takes the deconstructionist approach and manipulates the words to bring out some of the opposition elements of the image and give it a different meaning.
