Paradigms - Dan Kozerski

Geometrics

Deconstructive

Integrative

The way that I see it, each of these three paradigms are easily related to different styles of designs. Integrative is best used when explaining the process (i.e step-by-step) of something or when the content can be matched with a timeline, such as the New Year Image above. However, I don’t think integrative is pigeonholed to that. I think there can be integration within the design, such as the bus advertisement about germs.  Moreover, geometric is best used when depicting content that is orderly; however, one could also make something visually appealing from chaotic geometrics. Finally, deconstructive, in my opinion is design that breaks down the thought process, making viewers contemplate the meaning, sometimes until they solve whatever problem the design is provoking inside them. I think this paradigm is often best used in advertisements because its very attention grabbing. These basic ideas are why one would choose one paradigm over another. It really depends on what the content of the design is.
