I think these revised versions are working much better then the first versions you showed in class. Especially adding in the veggies in place of letters in the bloody mary one. I also think the salad one is very beautiful and well put together.
hey ur first one is better with the replacement of type with ur illustrations, but you might want to push the red type more. idk if the red type of the person asking for a bloody mary is angry or not (it seemed like u said that), but idk maybe have a variation in type weight from the person asking the question vs you.
the second one i can not really read at all. cept hangover i found that one. might want to think about that.
the new salad one is nice. got sum nice tones in there.
and the last one is p chill too. feeling it w/o the sign on there anymore. good stuff.

I didn't want the second bloody mary piece to be easily read. I wanted to play on the idea of how when you're hungover, things are blurry/unfocused because you're just so tired and empty. The text reads "I hear bloody marys are great hangover helpers".. to play on the idea that all you want are bloody marys, or anything to really help you get over your hangover. Guess I need to work on that though, haha.
Salad font: Rockwell Regular/Standard Sign font: Avenir LT Standard
The 1st remake of the one with the bloody mary looks great, although the letters in bloody may need to be pushed closer together and you may want to find a way to make the two quotes look more separate / make it more obvious that they are being said by different people because if I didn't have prior knowledge about what our assignment was I probably wouldn't get it. But overall it looks great and i'd say it's your strongest one of the 3.
Becca-I love the way your first one turned out now. The bloody mary looks so much better and i love the way you incorporated the dressings of the drink into the words. it makes the piece stronger and definitely makes the piece flow better as a whole. I like the first one better than the second because the second one does hurt my eyes and is nearly impossible to make out what it says.
I'm a huge fan of your new geometric design. I think the illustrative style you use is great. You successfully and uniquely create a geometric grid/pattern with the repetition of the salad/veggie forms. The one thing I would be careful of is the text on the left hand side--looks a little too close to the edge. Otherwise great work!
Hi there, I like the top bloody mary one. I like how you added the celery, lemons, and olives into the typography. It is very pleasing to the eye. The typeface and colors are pretty awesome too. I like the top one more than the one under it. It does hurt my eyes and it is hard to read, but nevertheless, I like the repetition of the drink. Love the white background too.
