McLuhan & Fiore

I thought it was interesting when they said that the book “The Medium is the Massage” required users to unfold the pages in order to see what was written on the next one. I also thought that it was interesting that the pages were full bleed and that the images extended all the way to the edge of the paper. One concept in the book that I thought was weird yet unique was that the image that was blown up on one page was a small thumbnail on the next page. This is kind of helpful in a way because it allows the reader to look back at the thumbnail to figure out what was on the page previous. It would be interesting to see how the book is actually set up and if it is easy to read, since it does not have a preface or a table of contents. By looking at the small examples in the reading it seems like every page has a different story or something entirely different to talk about than the page before it. I personally do not know if I would be able to read this book because it seems like it does not have structure to it and it seems like it is just made up of many different “stories” all rolled into one book.
