Christmas is big, as well as Thanksgiving for getting family together. Easter is more loosely celebrated. Birthday's are always celebrated.

I don't have the deepest connections with any of the ethnicity's in my family, so I want to base more of my design on what makes me who I am on a day-to-day basis. Right now I really want to do something based in music - more specifically hip-hop music. I write, record, and perform my own hip-hop music, and it's really something that is a part of my life every single day. I was looking around on tumblr and came across some pictures of illustrated roots, and I felt really inspired by the imagery of roots. I haven't quite decided the exact direction that I want to take, although I have drawn up the sketch below. What I want to do is connect myself with roots and imagery that relates to my music. The roots represent the strength that ties music and me together.
